What If This Was You?

"When I first started with this office, I did not know the first thing about Chiropractic or what a person could experience by being under chiropractic care. Working here has really changed my way of thinking after all of the miracles I have seen; some of them may have been yours!"

Here is my story: I have had low back pain for some 25 years. Little did I know that Chiropractic could have had benefits to a lot of "things" that were wrong with me, not to mention acid reflux, female problems, leg & toe cramp, constipation, sinus problems and breathing difficulties. It was always told to me that a lot of these things were happening to me because I was getting older. I do not believe that to be the case at all. After going through a consultation and exam, I discovered that the same area of my upper back that bothered me, controls the heart & lungs. Some of my family members had heart attacks & died. I did not want to be one of them. I wanted to change the pattern of life for my family and me.

In December of 2009 I had to have a colonoscopy. Little did I know that they would find a 32-centimeter mass of cancer that had ruptured and needed to be taken out, along with a foot of my colon. After waking up from surgery, it was explained to me that the mass they had removed had been there for the past 5 -6 years. Good news was it had not spread, nor was it in the lymph nodes or affecting any other part of my body.

While I was in the hospital, the nurses would ask or tell me that it was unusual for a person coming out of surgery, not to have a temperature, catch cold, or have infections, etc. I never had any of those things. I was even asked about the flu shot while I was there and refused. I was asked "why not".

My response was that I was under Chiropractic care. Some would ask what does Chiropractic have to do with it. I explained that the immune system can be boosted 200-400% by being adjusted regularly; therefore my immune system was in good shape. Within 3 weeks of my surgery I was back to work on half days and back to full time 2 weeks later. On the redo of my colonoscopy it was discovered there was one polyp that was removed and everything else looked good. I am back to work sharing my great story and hope that others can experience the greatness of Chiropractic. I feel my story is an inspiration to be able to help others. After all, I am nearing 50 and I feel great! I have lots of energy, nothing hurts, and best of all I feel like I could LIVE to be 100.
